1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using VINTRACES ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

VINTRACES is a third-party reseller and intermediary service. We do NOT:

• Generate vehicle history reports ourselves
• Have direct access to vehicle databases
• Create, verify, or validate the data in reports
• Control the content or accuracy of reports

We purchase reports from authorized third-party data providers (CARFAX, AutoCheck) and resell them to customers. All report data comes directly from these third-party providers.

3. No Affiliation or Endorsement

CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: VINTRACES is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected in any way to:

• CARFAX, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates
• AutoCheck or Experian Automotive
• Any vehicle manufacturer or automotive company
• Any automotive dealership or dealer network
• Any government agency or DMV
• Any insurance company
• Any vehicle inspection service

We are an independent third-party service that purchases and resells vehicle history reports. We have no special relationship with data providers and receive no preferential treatment.

4. Third-Party Data Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: All vehicle history data is provided by third-party sources. VINTRACES:

• Does NOT create the data in reports
• Does NOT verify the accuracy of information
• Does NOT guarantee completeness of records
• Does NOT control what information is included or excluded
• Cannot modify or correct report data
• Cannot add missing information to reports

Reports reflect only what third-party data providers have in their databases at the time of report generation. VINTRACES is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the data.

5. VIN Accuracy - Your Sole Responsibility

CRITICAL: You are 100% responsible for entering the correct Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You have verified the VIN is correct before payment
• The report will be generated for the EXACT VIN you entered
• An incorrect VIN will produce a report for the wrong vehicle
• NO REFUNDS will be issued for incorrect VIN entries
• You will need to purchase a new report if you entered the wrong VIN
• VINTRACES has no ability to change or modify a VIN after purchase
• We cannot issue credits or exchanges for user entry errors

⚠️ ALWAYS double-check your VIN before completing payment. This is YOUR responsibility.

6. No Guarantees or Warranties - AS IS Service

THIS SERVICE AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

VINTRACES and its third-party data providers make ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTIES regarding:

• Accuracy: Information may be incorrect, outdated, or incomplete
• Completeness: Reports may not include all accidents, repairs, or issues
• Timeliness: Data may not reflect recent events
• Fitness: Reports may not be suitable for your intended purpose
• Merchantability: No guarantee the service will meet your expectations
• Non-infringement: No guarantee of error-free operation

IMPORTANT: Vehicle history reports are NOT a substitute for:

• Professional vehicle inspection by a qualified mechanic
• Test drives and personal evaluation
• Title searches at your local DMV
• Verification of odometer readings
• Checking for open recalls or safety issues

Reports show only what has been reported to third-party databases. Unreported incidents, private sales, repairs at independent shops, and other events may not appear in reports.

6. Limitation of Liability

VINTRACES, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall NOT be liable for:

• Any errors or omissions in vehicle history reports
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
• Financial losses from vehicle purchases or decisions based on reports
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Lost profits, data, or business opportunities

Maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the report.

7. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of our reports, all sales are final once a report is delivered. If a technical issue occurs or a report cannot be generated, a refund or replacement will be provided.

Refunds are NOT provided for:

• Incorrect VIN entries - It is your responsibility to verify the VIN before purchase
• Dissatisfaction with report contents - Reports reflect available third-party data
• Missing or incomplete information - Not all incidents may be reported
• Negative vehicle history - Reports show actual vehicle history
• Change of mind - Digital products cannot be returned once delivered

Refunds or replacements will be provided only if:

• A technical error prevents report generation or delivery
• You are charged but do not receive a report
• The report is completely blank or unreadable due to system error

To request a refund for technical issues, contact us within 48 hours of purchase with your order details.

8. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate VIN information
• Use reports for lawful purposes only
• Not resell or redistribute reports
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape data
• Verify information through additional sources

9. Intellectual Property

Vehicle history reports and their contents are the intellectual property of the respective data providers (CARFAX, AutoCheck). You receive a limited, non-transferable license to view the report for personal use only.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where VINTRACES is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
